Some warranties apply only to specific repaired locations rather than the entire foundation. Make sure the document identifies what work and areas are actually covered.
Check transfer and fees
If the property is sold, transfer requirements, deadlines, inspection conditions, and fees may apply. Do not assume a warranty transfers automatically.
Review exclusions
Plumbing leaks, drainage changes, tree-related conditions, remodeling, new additions, flooding, drought, or other site changes may affect coverage depending on the contract.
